The UK Government has relaxed COVID rules and regulations with life returning to normal for most of us. In order to protect our customers and staff, we are maintaining a set of our own guidelines to ensure peace of mind for all.

Property Viewings

  • Viewings will be staggered in order to avoid overlap between appointments.
  • We request that a maximum of 2 adults be in attendance per viewing, including the representative from Rhubarb Property or the landlord/homeowner if they are carrying out the viewing. Exceptions may be made in some instances and will be at the discretion of the landlord/homeowner or viewing host. If you are planning to attend a viewing in a larger group, please inform Rhubarb Property prior to the appointment.
  • We request that if the landlord/homeowner is not conducting the viewing, they (and any other members of the household) leave the property for the duration of the viewing. If the landlord/homeowner is conducting the viewing, they may remain in the property but we would suggest other members of the household vacate for the viewing period.
  • Although no longer a legal requirement, it is recommended that landlords/homeowners and viewers continue to wear face coverings during the viewing (provided by themselves). Representatives from Rhubarb Property will continue to wear face coverings.
  • Viewings will be kept to a maximum of 15 minutes, or as short as is practical, depending on the size of the property. Should a longer conversation be required with a representative from Rhubarb Property, this should take place outside of the property.
  • Viewers will not be permitted to use the bathrooms in any properties visited.
  • Windows should be opened wherever possible for the duration of the appointment, to ensure spaces are well ventilated.
  • Homeowners and viewers are required to report any symptoms, for themselves or anyone within their households, to Rhubarb Property prior to the viewing.

Property Appraisals

  • A maximum of 3 adults should be in attendance per appraisal, including the representative from Rhubarb Property. Exceptions may be made in some instances and will be at the discretion of the landlord/homeowner and Rhubarb Property team. If you are planning for a larger group to be in attendance during the appraisal, please inform us in advance.
  • To prepare for appraisals, we suggest that the landlord/homeowner leave all internal doors open to minimise the need for the Appraiser to touch door handles.
  • Windows should be opened wherever possible for the duration of the appointment, to ensure spaces are well ventilated.
  • While no longer a requirement, it is recommended that landlords/homeowners wear a face covering during their appraisal (provided by themselves). Appraisers will wear masks during the meeting.
  • Landlords/homeowners are required to report any symptoms, for themselves or anyone within their households, to Rhubarb Property prior to the appraisal.
